With the Jordan River down to 2% of its historical flow and factories on the Dead Sea’s southern shore withdrawing water at an alarming rate, the water level’s sharp decline is set to continue. The drop has also led to the emergence of large sinkholes around the Sea’s perimeter. I took this photo in an abandoned restaurant that used to be on the shoreline.
