Auja Spring Begins to Flow

This is Auja Spring. It supported agriculture in Auja for generations through an intricate system of canals that distributed water onto the surrounding fertile lands. The Spring used to run all year round, but now it only flows for 3 or 4 months per year. Today the Spring started for the first time this season, but will stop around April. Because of the shortage, farming families have been forced to sell and leave their land. Where has all the water gone?
